Field service
Work performed at the customer’s location: a work order, a crew dispatched, a ticket, a sample, and a certificate at the end of it.
Nomination to certificate, unbroken
The nomination opens a job, the job produces work orders, the work order produces a result and a serially numbered certificate. The whole chain is inside the system, so no certificate number lives in a spreadsheet beside it.
Dispatch knows who is eligible
Assigning a technician is gated on a current competency and assigning an instrument on a current calibration. An expired certificate blocks the dispatch rather than surfacing in next year’s audit.
Agreements and service levels
Response times, coverage and agreed pricing are defined on the agreement and apply to every work order raised under it.
The laboratory is part of the service
Samples, custody, test methods and results are a capability of field service rather than a separate system, because the customer is buying a result and not a laboratory.
